Looks really good so far. Very nice art, and the movement looks very snappy. I’m interested in a pixel art position if its still open, or will be open in the future.
I like to use a hybrid 2D/3D approach to sprites that mixes hand drawn and rendered frames. The end goal is buttery smooth animation. This is my most recent work from another project showing this technique:
