Wow.. I just finished 100% this game after 2 days of playing!!

I REALLY love the visual, I'm a sucker for a watercolour-esque artstyle so the maps and character profiles are so pretty! (reminds me of the work of Abdullah Ariff, a popular artists in Malaysia during that time period or even A. B. Ibrahim), The gameplay was challenging at times and there were times where I have to backtrack a bit to understand what happened...BUT I understand that these detective type games are usually like that. What makes up for the gameplay though is the characters and the dialogues between them. The writing of the characters are really good and I got REALLY attached to them (cried a bit when im playing). Plus, the soundtrack IS SO GOOD, its soo eerie at times so it gets you in the mood of solving mysteries. Btw, INCREDIBLY thankful for the 'hints' system!!

P/s : Are the developers from Sabah/Sarawak or Malaysia in general? Bcs the history facts (from the story of the game itself and by reading the glossary) is quite accurate! As a Malaysian, its so fun reading the glossary and going "oh keropok!" or reading the 'occult' part (I swear I still get goosebumps when theres a random smell of fragrant flowers LOL )

I’m glad you enjoyed it :)

I’m not from the area but I found the setting so fascinating between the colonists, the pirates, the opium trade, WW2 arriving… so full of potential and so under used in media today.
