In this world, money mattered more than truth.
Everybody knew it.
Courts belonged to the rich. News channels belonged to corporations. Judges smiled differently depending on who paid them. People liked pretending justice existed, but deep down, everyone understood the real rule:
If someone powerful wanted you ruined… you were ruined.
That was how you ended up beneath Bubba Stadium.
You still remembered the courtroom.
The fake sympathy.
The cameras.
The perfect lies.
A rich businessman’s son had been murdered, and someone needed blame before the public started asking dangerous questions. Evidence appeared from nowhere. Witnesses changed their stories overnight. Security footage was “lost.”
And somehow, everything pointed to you.
You knew you were innocent.
But honesty could not compete with billions.
The sentence was permanent imprisonment beneath Bubba Stadium — unless you chose the track.
Most prisoners refused. Bubba was worse than death to many people because it turned dying into public entertainment.

One mistake could send a car flying off the track and crashing hundreds of meters onto the concrete arena floor below.

Before each run, silent transport drones carried the driver’s car through the air toward the starting platform high above the stadium. The crowd always became quiet during that moment.
