The progression is too slow, and the AFK gains are too little.
You should include some way to recover health (maybe with a boost if you don't get a new zombie) and maybe include few civlians (2-3) randomly between the higher types of humans to give a chance to replenish your horde a bit more.
PS Given that without runners it is almost impossible to pass Zone 4 make them cheaper.
