I have found the issue with the journal, and it will be fixed in the next update. Thank you for bringing that to my attention
The skill point gains are balanced around possibility of maxing out all stats by the end of the game. If you double the gain rate, it would break that balance.
And, yes, depending on the House you choose at the start, one of the girls will not want to date you. There's as the song goes "You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you get what you need." =D
