I had come back to see last month's winner, and while I didn't play the other games, I understand why it would've won! Great effort :) For my own perspective, if you don't mind, how long did it take you to make this? And from the lack of credits, do I understand correctly that you did art, sound, and coding (or is there some CC-0 stuff involved)? I especially liked the characters! In any case, congratulations!

Thank you, I appreciate it! You're not the first person to ask me that- so I actually wrote a post a few weeks ago outlining how I approach managing my time for these 9 day game jams: Link.

Short answer is- yes more or less everything in the game is made by me. All the art/programming/music at least. Most of the sound effects are free use ones I found online- plus a couple I made myself. I ended up spending the majority of both weekends fully working on it, then throughout the week I got somewhere between a 1-3 hours of work done each night after my actual job.

Hopefully that answers your question! Thanks again

Thanks so much! I had already looked through the devlogs since I thought you'd mention it there. Excuse my ignorance, I'm not that familiar with Itch besides the storefront/jams, but even knowing that it's there I cannot find it if I would look for it a regular way (no button on the profile or creator's page). How would I be supposed to find it? I might be missing out on so much good content!

Huh, I'm actually not sure? I didn't mark that post as a devlog since it was sort of "game agnostic". But I can't actually figure out how to get to it either. Maybe I should just mark it as a devlog? It seems kind of strange that I would have to do that to make it visible to people...

Edit: Yeah apparently the "Blog" feature was added a couple years ago and they just never created a dedicated UI for it outside of your followed creator feed. Very strange. Guess I'll stick to game specific devlogs then lol

Strange, but good to know. Thanks again!
