I'm not Supermage, but I'd suggest perhaps a way to "quarantine" visitors by tying and gagging them for a night? Just for those cases where you aren't sure who's bad or not.
...This would probably necessitate art of the guys bound and gagged to go with it though, and I'm not sure how much work that would be for you.
It sounds interesting, but I think that would be a whole other game, haha.
For now, I'm planning to improve the creatures you discover and possibly do something with them, like interrogate them or interact with them, and maybe a few other minor changes. I don't want to overcomplicate the game so much.
