This was cute! The atmosphere was probably my favorite part. The start screen, the SFX, the art style, the eyes showing up in the dark, the little candlestick guy, all of that worked really well.

I did get stuck on level 2 though. The movement and candle-lighting instructions made sense, but when I got to the third candle I could not tell if I needed to go faster, if my inputs were not working, or if I was missing something. Turns out I was missing something 😂 I accidentally discovered that E/J shoots fire, so if that was shown somewhere I completely missed it.

It also ended right when I felt like it was about to open up more. Even with me struggling on the second level, I think I got through it in about 3 minutes, and I wanted to know why this little candlestick guy was down there and how he was going to get out.

The fire-shooting mechanic seems like it could be really interesting for puzzles or enemies, but it did not feel like it got used much yet. Right now it mostly felt like running between candles, but the mood/art style are really strong and there is definitely potential here.

You got everything! Unfortunately, since we didn't have a dedicated Game/Level Designer, the programmer ( me :0) focused only on the mechanics and the artist focused only on the Sprites. Besides that, 80% of the game was made in the last 2 days haha.
