DEVILS  is an arcade-logic game with RPG elements created in the retro atmosphere of C64 computers. It was created using 16 colors known from Commodore.

What is the game about?

The game's action takes place in the castle in Lucic. The mischievous devil Boruta, banished by the order of magicians to the afterlife, takes revenge by sending devilish spawn. You play the role of a magician who is tasked with saving the world from devils. The player's task is to lead the devils located in the castle to the portal that leads to hell.

It contains 10 levels with items which increase and decrease your points, people to save, and one special ability.  


I am currently working on a beta version of the game. My goal is to add new solutions once a week and share them with you in order to get feedback. The arcade part is mostly finished, currently I am focusing on the logic part (creating new levels and tasks to solve), the story layer and the RPG model.

It is my first game so, I`ll be really grateful for each feedback.

I just add a new tool - magic staff! You can use it to destroy barricades such as wooden boxes. Bellow short movie with it.

The latest demo version (v1.0.1) of Devils has been released on itch.io. The demo contains 17 levels. Graphic options that add a retro gaming, VHS effect and an installation version of the game has also been added. Check out the link below. https://b64studio.itch.io/devils-demo

A new version of DEVILS—Demo v1.0.2—has been released. It introduces a host of improvements, fixes, and changes. The list is as follows:

1. New original music created by me.

2. Localization added. The game is now available in both English and Polish.

3. Graphics added to key story-related locations.

4. The number of available levels in the demo version has been increased from 10 to 15.

5. Manual save functionality has been added.

6. Scoring and ranking systems have been revised.

7. Graphics have been improved.

8. Bugs have been fixed.

9. Game code optimization.

Here's the latest set of devlogs:

  • In place of the previous AI-generated logo, I've added one I created.
  • I've changed the game's title from simply DEVILS to a more fitting DEVILS - THE BORUTA'S REVENGE. In conjunction with the name change, I've also updated the game's logo and made a few cosmetic changes to the game itself.
  • I've visually separated the story dialogues from the game guide. The game is quite unusual, so if a player skips all dialogues, including the guide, they won't be able to navigate the game. The guide is now described (GAME GUIDE), and the image of the archmage has a yellow exclamation mark.
  • I finished putting together a promo video for my game.
