The visuals here have gotten a pretty big overhaul vs the jam version. The things that stood out to me the most were:

  • Pretty much every room is more decorated now.
  • The background near the start of the game with the giant clock in the distance surrounded by hills. I really like it. Invokes a sense of awe but also desolation seeing such a large structure in what otherwise looks like a wasteland.
  • The decorative gears in certain rooms. I think they're neat. I'm assuming they're being used as a visual indicator for when one of those giant clock rooms is nearby? Not super confident in that assumption though.
  • The little robot creature thing that you use to break into one of the clock rooms has a new "death" animation. It's now a little more clear that the creature cannot hurt you after goading it into breaking the wall.
  • The time radius power looks pretty different now. To be honest, I prefer the look of the old one stylistically. The lines just looked neat to me. The new one with the gradient does look smoother though.
  • Clock on the main menu turns the hour hand to face the menu option you picked. Pretty cool, although you don't really get a good look at it when you press "quit" specifically since it exits the game immediately.

Overall, the game looks much nicer now, which is... nice.

Also, it's a small thing, but I didn't like how the music would play for only a short time and then fade out. Wasn't a fan of it that much when I played the jam version either. I wish it would be on like most of the time, although I realize the way it is was probably intentional and that this is a personal preference thing.
