I tried to play with a friend a few days ago, and we tried a few different ways to connect - unfortunately we weren't able to, though the game did freeze at times which shows that it was trying at least. Some kind of activity log would have been neat so we could see what the netcode is trying to do, what prevents it from working, and maybe find a way to connect somehow.
I don't think I can reasonably rate the game as a result, though I did appreciate how chill and ethereal the menu theme was. The sound effect on taking a hit, while clearly out of place, was really funny - and I'm honestly very curious where you got it from because I did hear the same or very similar sound used in some ancient early 00s games, which led to an unexpected surge of nostalgia
