Can you clarify what is meant by step 3, "set your caravan status" ?

so, actually you could say that step doesn't do anything, is something like "organize everything to start the game", remember that this game is actually a framework to your story crafting, so most rules could be bent according to your story whims, for example, one of the spoils makes you re-roll your die and resolve the BEST of the two results, if you want to create a story of suffering you could actually resolve the WORST result, even if our rules state otherwise.

if you need any more clarifying or tips, just ask, but like i say, the concept is not very rigid, if you have a good way to use it, go for it! the main point is to have fun and make a story worthwhile!

I see what you mean now. The way it was written, it sounded like there was a stat I overlooked. Like Status="Happy" or Status="High Class" or something to that effect.
