The impressions on itch.io are weird. They don't include external traffic, or even the community.
My game, Dualspace v1.3 says it has only 128 impressions, but ~90 views for that time. Also, I have seen over 100% CTR, which is impossible.
How do you have so many collections though?
A ton of them are people adding them to collections like "Read Later". There's also one collection by a user with ~500ish followers that drives A LOT of traffic?? (Its my 2nd highest single source of views!).
I have noticed that a lot of the times I gain a new follower, I also get added to another collection. Overwhelmingly, its personal collections. A lot of them are private, I think people in the niche (Furry Visual Novels) Just scroll through new games in that category and add them to their collections for later.
Its a small but dedicated fandom!
