I really enjoyed this game! It’s definitely a big step up from the developer’s first game. The Charred Man delivers a much stronger atmosphere, more immersive presentation, and some genuinely tense moments.

There are still a few issues similar to the first game, like certain items blending too much into the environment, but my main concern is that the game doesn’t really explain the lore behind the Charred Man or how the main character ended up in the basement.

Atmosphere-wise though, this game was terrifying for me. The moment I heard the chase music kick in, I immediately panicked since I absolutely hate chase sequences in horror games lol. The cinematic cutscenes at the beginning and end were also a really nice touch and added a lot to the experience.

Overall, I’d give The Charred Man a solid 7.1/10 charred men. It’s a clear improvement from the first game and it definitely got a few screams out of me.
