I tried using the console command but its said it wasn't recognized although I could be doing it wrong. I couldn't find a kill point number to change

The game runs on itch in what is known as an iframe. In your broeser console there should be a dropdown somewhere to select the frame "Terraforming Titans".
If you are still struggling to fix it you can send me your save and I will do it for you.
Thankfulky the bug has been resolved since this announcemsnt so any travel now is unaffected.
