hi im a little confused right now. ive been trying to download the base game so I can download the free demo of 14 nights with you, and it says i downloaded fonts for 14 days with you, but i dont see it in the files on my laptop (windows). anywhere. then i tried to download 14 nights with you, i got this popup. am i doing something wrong??

Could you please provide more information on how you got that message? I'm not entirely sure why you'd get that pop-up in the first place ^^;

So long as you download the base game, unzip it, then run the 14dayswithyou.exe file (found in the unzipped folder), you shouldn't need to download anything else such as the fonts.

for the base game, i tried to just click the download now button, and it brought me to the downloads page. i hit download and it would have a bar at the bottom of my screen, then when it finished loading it would say i downloaded fonts for the game file. same happened if i tried to then download the free demo of 14 nights with you. this has also happened for all games i try to download on itch.io, and again they never appear in the files of my laptop, even if it says it downloaded

If it's happening for all the games you download from itch.io, then it might be a browser (or browser extension) issue. Unfortunately, that kind of stuff is outside my area of understanding (since it has nothing to do with 14DWY or its development), so I can't offer any help or suggestions other than to try a different web browser, temporarily disable any browser extensions, or check whether a firewall/antivirus is blocking your downloads.

Edit: It's also possible that your downloads are being saved to a different location. Could you try searching for any folders named "14dayswithyou" or "14nightswithyou" to see if anything shows up?
