Another thing that causes issues for Napoleon is how the flight & jump jet systems being turned into activated modes instead of passive riders on standard move and/or boost interacts with trueblack aegis. Namely that they're disabled which removes the classic trueblack brawler napoleon's only means of attacking flying enemies, as they can no longer chase them down in the sky.
I was testing a single brawler napoleon in survival instant action and the op-force eventually ended up with an ace and a hornet. After ~60 turns of repeatedly trying to lure them next to high buildings so I could try to land a grapple with ~13% hit chance, I ended up self-destructing to end the mission.
Though I guess in most circumstances there would be other allied mechs that could engage the flyers and the napoleon could still make a play for the objective in any other sit-rep other than survival.
It's still incredibly annoying when you end up in a situation where you need to engage flyers with a napoleon that has trueblack active. The flight systems should really count as "systems that do not require activation" for the purposes of trueblack aegis, even if in the UI they have their own buttons to turn on for ease of use reasons.
