Caelumora — v2.8.0: Inventory Spillover

A full inventory now pauses the action instead of silently routing drops to the bank — inventory space becomes a constraint you actually feel.

Inventory full means inventory full

Auto-spillover-to-bank had been doing too much. New drops silently routed into your bank, the action never stopped, and the only signal you’d hit a limit was a bank number ticking up. The inventory cap was effectively cosmetic. Now a fresh resource type past 20 inventory slots pauses the action with “Inventory full — deposit to bank or sell to resume” and auto-resumes the moment a slot frees. Same-resource drops still stack forever in one slot, so single-skill grinds run untouched: a Mining session fills one or two slots, period. Quest claims, shop purchases, unequips, and the Aether trickle still go straight to the bank — friction is reserved for the action loop, not for things you initiated.

This is the third constraint I’ve made felt in a stretch. Combat used to be a stat panel where damage numbers ticked up; now it’s a duel surface where you watch the trade. Crystallized Aether used to be a special-case pool capped at fifty; now it stockpiles in your bank and Arcane is a destination you actually return to. A full inventory used to be a non-event; now it’s a stop. The pattern has been “make each constraint surface stop being silent”. Idle games drift toward “everything is a multiplier on a global accumulator”, and that’s efficient and also boring. Constraints are friction with shape — a fight to win, a destination to reach, a bag to clear — and the game gets more game when there are more of them.

Also in this update

  • Skill trees render as visual trees — curved prereq lines, exclusive-pick blockers named in the tooltip.
  • Arcane Assistants got a Bond Map — your bond level in every skill, visible at a glance.
  • Caelumora-original world — Starsilver, Stormforge, Aetherite, Wyrmscale, Pale Archon, fifteen new Agility course names.
  • Combat shows a DEFEATED screen with a Re-engage button when an action pauses on a kill.
  • Crystallized Aether stockpiles in your bank like every other Enchanting input — no cap.

Full patch notes are in-game (Settings → What’s New).

Caelumora — v2.8.2: Travel Feedback

  • Tapping Travel when you cannot afford a trip now shows a toast naming what you are missing.
  • First Visit Cost panel flags missing resources in red with “need X more” badges.
  • Toast covers all four blocked cases: first-visit cost, food, mount range, undiscovered area.

Caelumora — v2.8.3: Tutorial Fixes

  • Shop tutorial popup now fires the moment the Shop unlocks (level 15), not 15 levels later.
  • Multi-skill tutorial line now points to the Arcane Assistant as the gate for parallel actions.
  • Old level-20 line falsely claimed three concurrent actions — now corrected.

Caelumora — v2.8.4: Travel Cost Honesty

  • Travel modal shows the real cost when hardcore mode or hostile reputation surcharges the trip.
  • New “Cost penalties” line shows each surcharge so you see why food costs more.
  • Modal said you had enough but Travel refused — Discord report from Psary on Scorched Sands.
