Any chance you can upload that Windows version for us?

Hey! I do have the old Windows version from Indievania, but since I’m not the developer I’m not comfortable redistributing it without their permission.

Maybe the dev can chime in  (I’d be happy to share my copy with them if they’ve lost the files).

If we don’t hear anything from them after a while, feel free to message me and we’ll see what can be done.

"After a while"? The two years since your initial comment isn't long enough? What about the six years since GreenTiger's comment about the same thing?

Also, the dev set the game to pay-what-you-want (i.e. free), so isn't that tacit permission enough?

Hey! John said it’s okay for me to share the old Windows build with you. I tested it on Windows 11 and it still works fine on my end 🙂

I uploaded it to Google Drive. You can contact me at gianni.barbolini@proton.me and I’ll send you the download link (or feel free to reply here with your email address, if you don’t mind sharing it publicly).

Thanks for being respectful Paolo. You are welcome to share your Windows copy with the angry entitled person, however it is out of date with the version that is currently posted so I won't be uploading it here.

Some backstory is that I haven't owned a Windows machine for years, and though I do now, I don't have the capacity to work on this project anymore. This project was originally released in 2012, was my first game, and due to the way I built it would basically need an entire rewrite to properly update again. It's possible in the future I would do this entire rewrite, but in that case, I'd probably make lots of improvements, and sell it as a new game on Steam :)

Cheers!

Thanks, appreciate the clarification and the permission!

Since you’re okay with it, I’ll dig up the old Windows build from my Indievania backup and share it with Imaynotbehere4long privately. Hopefully it helps preserve this little piece of indie history :)

Also totally understand not wanting to rewrite a 2012 first project from scratch. If you ever do revisit it on Steam someday, I’d definitely check it out.
