Some idle brainstorming from this weekend:

  • Hazardous Materials cleanup of materials that interact oddly with each other and with your PPE (possibly causing hallucinations/short-term mutations).
  • Slice-of-life cyberpunk one-shot about checking in on and helping friends after they undergo a procedure (joke idea: cybernetic hip replacement), helping them navigate a world while temporarily suffering from the effects/healing from the procedure.
  • Mothership/Cosmic Dark/ALIEN-esque colony epidemic scenario tasking players to identify the causes of the various, disparate symptoms, develop adequate care techniques (balancing the various side-effects), and navigating the political landscape of the colony. Possibly make it a playset for Death Has Come To This Town (even though that’s a three-shot system).
  • Investigating a case of strange industrial accidents, with a common thread of each victim being a consumer of some shittier, cyberpunk Zyn.
  • Crash//Cart or Flatline client/client roster who all have strange, dangerous reactions to conventional treatment. Play is about either finding the root causes for each patient or coming up with alternative treatments.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing a large industrial mech that’s gone erratic (despite all your diagnostic tools claiming that all systems are “blue”). Root cause is the odd interactions from a few minor third-party replacement parts that are technically all operating correctly, just not intended.
  • Mining/science scenario where you need to complete your objectives without doing minor, usual tasks (because they have knock-on effects that break some sort of contract/law/treaty and ruin your day).
  • Interstellar armistice conference where the players, as diplomats and aides, must help draft an adequate peace treaty that doesn’t accidentally trigger undesirable clauses in preexisting treaties (possibly starting many smaller wars).
