I'll be blunt. For now this game is umplayable. Everything is anyoing.
For example: you get stuck while walking on everything (even when there isn't anything on the ground), when you load a save everything resets...from the enemies to the cutscene triggers. Moreover you there isn't a menu screen so each time you boot up the game it replays the beginning cutscene (which is unscippable) and you have to wait to load a safe.
Finally the game blocks a lot. if i try to get into the church after i go outside my game block. Even if i try to go to the next area the loading screen doesn't go away. When the loading is finished i click to play, ambient sounds start playing but the game never loads.
This is a very cool idea but the game still needs a LOT of work just to function.

Thank you so much for the honest and detailed feedback, Ababba. I sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you had with this build.
To be transparent, last month we brought a new programmer onto the team to help rewrite several core systems to make the game more stable in the long run. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish cleaning up all the new code and technical 'clutter' before this build went live, which led to the collision bugs and loading issues you encountered.
However, I have just uploaded a new build that includes the Menu scene as a first step in fixing these issues. Beyond that, we are currently working hard on a hotfix to specifically address:
- The 'invisible' collisions getting players stuck.
- The save/load system resets.
- The infinite loading screens and transition soft-locks.
Your support and patience mean a lot to us as an indie team. We’re committed to getting Boys in the Dark to the level of quality it deserves. Please stay tuned for the next update very soon!
