Thank you! I'm glad you like the combat and animations  CrimsonRain. The bite mechanic is actually already integrated (devlog for more info :D), and it definitely adds a new layer of challenge to the game, thanks to you! Regarding the outfits, the protagonist wears pants by defult, and I’m planning to add shirt options as well if I have enough time. As for the death scenes, you guessed it—they’re very RE-style xD! I’m a huge fan of the series, so it’s been a major inspiration for me.

Regarding your question about performance: It's awesome that you're using the DLSS Enabler mod! Currently, the game doesn't have native support for DirectX 12 or Frame Generation yet :p. Howevr, I’ve been looking closly into implementing DLSS and FSR support for mah upcoming projects (especially Boys in the Dark) to ensure everyone gets the best performance and visuals possible.

I'll definitely keep ur feedback in mind as I continue development. Thanks for the heads-up and for sticking around! Luv ya!

I hear you, and you’re absolutely right. I got ahead of myself with the dates because I was too excited, but that’s no excuse for over-promising. Lesson learned: no more deadlines until the game is 100% ready to ship.

I’m focused on the work now. I just pushed a major update with refined combat (90% polished), a brand-new final boss area in the depths of Windhowling, and a bunch of new interactive 'surprises' (like the toilet ghost). Our coder got sick, but he’ll be back tomorrow. I need him to get the latest build, so an update will be up within 24 hours, Sabin. Also, yes, we’re late, my bad. But if you really think the game won’t release, just request a refund.

Hi George! Thank you for reaching out and for ur support.

To clarify the confusion: initially, we planned for Boys in the Dark to be a much smaller, shorter project that we could finish quickly by October. However, as development progressed, we fell in love with the world and the characters, and we decided to expand it into a much larger, more ambitious game.

Because the scope grew so much, the release date had to be pushed back several times T.T. We eventually switched it to 'Coming Soon' because we didn't want to set another firm date and risk disappointing you wif further delays. :p

Currently, our goal is to have everything wrapped up within this March. We're working hard to make sure everything goes smoothly, and we truly appreciate your patience while we add those final layers of polish.

Here's a simple walkthrough from Finn :D

  1. Activate the mechanism at the end of the path, then backtrack to the gate and grab the Rune Stone from the chest.
  2. Pick up the Astral Shard near the statue.
  3. Pick up the Silver Key (Underdark Key) on the ground.
  4. Dispel the Magical Seal (Inventory → Special Items → use Astral Shard).
  5. Open the chest to obtain the Revelation Rune Stone.
  6. Rotate the mechanism to get the Earth Materia.
  7. Rotate the other mechanism to get the Fire Materia.
  8. Insert the 3 materia (Fire, Earth, etc.) into the pillar to open the door.
  9. Talk to Puck inside the cage.
  10. Return to the statue and rotate it when you hear the “click” (the bridge mechanism unlocking).
  11. Cross the bridge and pick up the Soream Key.
  12. Go back to Step 9 and talk to Puck in the cage again.
  13. Fight the bull-like enemy.
  14. After the fight, there’s a consensual intimate/NSFW scene with Puck, and the quest ends.

Currently, only a few types of zombies use their penises to attack. Most of them will still stick to more 'traditional' methods like biting, scratching, or spitting acid at the player. We want to keep the combat variety balanced! :p

currently he's auto stripped in NSFW scenes, and yes his penis is more reasonably sized than Lancelot lol, but getting he 100% naked all the time option is no big deal, and a good idea, I'll add it to the to-do list, thank you Bobalatte :D

We love your enthusiasm and wild imagination xDThere may be intense and mature moments, and yes you can have fun wif the zombies sometimes, but they’re handled in a way that fits the narrative and tone of the game, not that extreme lol. We want the experience to feel immersive and meaningful, not just shocking for the sake of it.

We're currently adding the zombie grab and bite feature after the beta feedback. They can spit acid too.
Currently we dont have an option for that yet, I'll forward it to the team.

You’re right to be upset. I broke my promise about Friday updates and I announced “beta in 3 days” before the build was ready—that’s on me. We paused after finding a key-verification bug that blocked many activations, but that doesn’t excuse the poor communication.

What I’m changing now:

  • No new date until licensing is fixed and the RC is locked.
  • Weekly devlogs, every other Friday 7pm (GMT+7), with a simple Done / In-Progress / Next checklist.
