Just spotted ur reply! Excited! The grid style range of sight looks great and unique! Wondering how u get it right. Is it shader?

The gameplay u ve mentioned sounds interesting. But I cant get them working. I think the major issue to deal with is to make the Player not to "bounce" that much. It feels like moving a hard rolling ball. And It's hard to identify n differentiate bounce-able walls from walkable floor.

yup you are correct, just a simple movement for reference at the moment. but i will change it and add animation to the sprite to live it up.

as far as the "darkness" I have small tiles over the screen and its set to dim a percentage based on the player's position within a range (radius)
