Are you on Mac? We’re aware of a bug on Mac where sometimes it thinks the Option/Alt key is still held down after it has been released. Pressing and releasing Option/Alt again usually clears this state—sorry we don’t have a better fix yet.
This could also be happening on Windows, but on Mac I know it’s a thing for sure.
I think holding Option is also a way to turn the cursor to the Eye icon and look with left-clicking, so this bug would explain both problems you’re describing.
