WHY, I already had enough hating (which is a huge understatement to say just that) Juliette, and now Athiel too, just when I was starting to like them somewhat, I was like, "Okay, they're an idiot but at least they care about the MC (sort of)" and even with what I had seen, I thought they didn't know about E either. But now you're telling me that all this time (or at least since they stopped living with MC) they were the ones E had been living with, AHSGDHAGA... *sigh* Please tell me it's not what it seems, that at least they have a good explanation and it's not just because of Juliet's manipulation. I don't want to start hating them too (at least not to the level of Juliette)

The explanations won't be as detailed in Jordan or Robin's route as they are on Athiel's route since they'll have a different perspective depending on who told MC about El. Either way, you'll be able to hate them and cut contact if that's your wish. Or just hate them and make them grovel before 'forgiving' them and working on things (<—it'll take time for MC to forgive). Or forgive them (then again, forgiving won't make MC forget).


Hope you still enjoyed the update despite the frustration, haha

Haha, no, it's fine, as soon as I saw the email about the update it completely brightened my day even if what happens in the chapter brought me down a bit (Especially knowing how E is, I just want to hug and comfort them, my poor baby). Literally, LaD is the second game on my personal list that I was most looking forward to an update for, only behind ToW: The Silver Protector.

 The "frustration" thing is more of a strange thing I have with characters in IF games, and it's that (almost) always I only have 2 ways of hating them and it's either "I won't forgive you but I don't wish you harm either" (I don't know how else to put it right now, maybe I'll change it later if I think of something better) or "if you're alive it's only because I don't have the option of it being the other way around", the second varies depending on how serious and/or personal the matter is, but essentially it's generally wishing the worst for the character. So far there are only 3 with Juliette being (and for some reason all 3 are women) Beth Carver from Trials in Tainted Space and Eliza Quinn from BDCC. I also think I exaggerated a bit with Athiel since my emotions were still very fresh because I had just finished the chapter; even so, as things stand now, they wouldn't have gone beyond that "first level of hatred" that I mentioned.

I think I got a little carried away writing this (especially the explanation of the "2 levels of hate") but, if I don't publish this it would be a waste. Anyway, I've already dragged this out too long, so see ya
