been having a good time but am stuck now. playing in browser.

got past reception, i have a crunch message & a broken tablet as document, and my email collection is up to "incomplete project." i don't see anything to grab or interact with. metal door just says to try to physically access. nothing in offices left. use buttons on items in inventory greyed out.

any hints?

thanks

You can connect your cyberdeck to the broken tablet to retrieve information that includes a key for the door.

Edit: I thought I wrote a walkthrough and I’m flipping through the concise user’s guide and I completely skipped the walkthrough for this game lol.

So I had to look in the code, and there were several places I put in an action for examining the tablet. But only one is connected.

Full disclosure: I was not sleeping while writing this. hahaha.

Regardless, to answer your question: go back to the room you found the tablet in, and you’ll have an option to try to hack it. That was meant to be a Use action in the inventory. Apologies.

At some point if i ever have time i’ll make a directors cut of some kind and fix this lol.

thanks! one last question, is "cr.... n.. t... f..." in true end credits just a story thing or can i actually do that someplace in the game? i've been typing in c:\ commands from the poster and even at the save game file to see if i could do something like that.

Ah… no… it’s just something that’s happening. Took me a bit to solve your puzzle to know what you meant. :)

There is a sorta new-game plus: starting a new game after completing the true ending will give you an inventory item that lets you skip puzzles.

The story of the game continues in Visual DOS 2024, and theres additional lore in the other games.

I’m very glad you finished the game and I hope you enjoyed it!
