okay i'm embarrassed to admit it took me several hours to figure this out, but you have to go to the other puzzle room and touch the orb. I'll let you figure out the rest.
Its in the minecart puzzle where the red sigils are; you have follow the pathing exact. Doing once may not cause the event to trigger or so doing it twice to double check works. It cause the sigils to disappear afterwards.
