Ohhh lord The moment I first saw this game it scared me just from the description… So I’ve been hesitant to play. “Nope, NO way” But after playing AM, absolutely loving it, and realising the same team was behind this game too.. I was still hesitant to play. It looked very interesting but I just knew it would be crazy scary and good. Now I feel kinda bad being here so late But better late than never, am I right?

Well what do I even say now… I absolutely love everything and I’M NOT biased (just based) The Yeti looks weird and scary as it is, but the jumpscare makes it even better. The way it unhinges it’s jaw is really cool and I love how slow the death jumpscares in your games usually are; putting a focus on certain details. The environment is, besides pretty, also quite disorienting, especially when sliding, which makes it all more exciting. I like that the sun isn’t there the whole time but actually goes down. Got quite scared when I saw it happen for the first time. The sound design is incredible. The wind blowing was so loud at times I couldn’t figure out the location of the Yeti, and that just makes it more exciting and difficult. The chase music is great and the OST is so nice to listen to when you finally get yourself to a safe spot, and I feel real sad that I didn’t find the other tapes… Yet. I was really confused before I checked the guide, but I still managed to find my way around… Only, it turns out that I was constantly going the hard way, thinking it’s the only way

Gameplay wise, really cool and interesting mechanics. But also quite hard, I guess we really shouldn’t beat this game. Well, I’m not sure I’ll be able to beat it anytime soon… Need more motivation definitely It mainly makes me sad because I’m curious about the the endings and the tapes. I wonder if it has to do anything with AM or if the same model was just used for fun or perhaps only in the demo

lovely review thank you so much. AM and ALPEN GHOUL are connected but finding out how is insanely hard to do (not many people have seen the full scope of ALPEN GHOUL.. and it's easy to see why). If you are stuck you can always return to the cabin or experiment with the tapes. Also, there is no rush... it's not easy and you WILL die... over and over... but you WILL get more and more familiar with the mountain, and you WILL get better and better, and you WILL wish you never found what you are looking for.
