So I finished playing this earlier. Congrats on making your first game! (I like the wolf RPG editor engine).

(Some spoilers and game screenshots ahead!)

I appreciate what this game is trying to do, and it seems you had fun making it!

The art style I generally like, the pixels give off the nostalgic feel and the CGS of Lola are very well done (that one at the end genuinely made me uncomfortable...)

Story wise, there’s not much subtlety or originality, but I enjoyed exploring Lola’s world. It reminded me of other games like LISA the First and The Dreams of Melody Moonlight, which focus on visiting a few areas related to the character’s lives, with cute/weird pixel art elements, but wth more meta stuff and dialogue.

The gameplay/puzzles were fairly simple but worked well. I like exploration in games like these, although some of the rooms were quite large to walk through (but as a short game, it’s not a big deal). Some of the dialogue could be out of place at times, but I enjoyed reading it all! I thought it was cute calling the books you pick up “mini-wonders”, and I liked what I am assuming are nods to both DDLC and Yume Nikki (or the actual game itself or similar games). Some elements of this game could be inspired by those games.

There was one minor typo with one line of dialogue-it should be “invisible wall”, instead of “invincible wall”.

Some of the scares unnerved me a little, like when you’re walking in the forest and get a split second flashing image, or in the kitchen when it’s just a black screen with crying sounds and cuts back to normal, those built some tension. But others could also be a bit silly at times. The MS paint edited version jumpscare in the room with the knife was both creepy but loud in your face, I feel the art there could have been done better or the horror could have been more subtle.

I thoroughly appreciate the message at the end of the game, and enjoyed playing this very much! As a first game, you did a good job! ^_^
