Yes, everyone put in a lot of effort ;).
The cut scene flow was made so that when there is plot text, the player should have time to read it, and therefore be able to determine for themselves when to move on, and when there is no text to read, but only the visual part, you could watch it like a movie, without being distracted by controlling the skipping of scenes.
There are not only magnets, but also electromagnets :).
