I think it's less of a gender thing and more of a kink thing? Being into Abusive relationships is not unique or even associated with the female gender(Although putting up with physical abuse often is, but thats not exactly a positive association, and emotionally abusive relationships tend to go the other way and occasionally even develop into physical abuse), all in all it's definitely not for everyone but I personally might go beyond just reading the rules and minmaxing builds if I ever found a group I actually trusted to respect boundaries with(On retrospect, a really sad sentence)

But honestly this particular branch of thought experiments/Psychology/etc is rather interesting.

I, at least, think about this as a game about gender. I don't think of it as a game about kink, really.
