Could you elaborate on 1. a bit more? Are you referring to how the ground blends in with other objects in the level or just general lack of texture/contrast on it?

Yes, so it's difficult to tell (at least for me) which areas are say, "bush" green growth vs "tree" green growth. Obviously once the plants actually grow you can mostly tell, but before that point it all just looks like the same sort of moss / green.
