Ok, I saw someone with the same problem in the comments about not being capable of subcribe in you Patreon, and the same message appear to me.

Wait so it's just telling you that and still not letting you sign up/sub? Nothing in the message seems to me to indicate that you can't still sign up, just that you won't be charged outside of the initial fee upfront? Does it just not give you options to sub anyway or? I just feel like I need more information to help.
The only thing I can think of atm would be for me to unpause the billing cycle-- Which I can do if it is keeping people from the content, I just don't wanna keep charging people monthly if I don't know when more updates will be coming out, so I'd likely have to pause it again anyway. It also looks like plenty of ppl were able to sub anyway, so if you have anymore information on what you're seeing when you try to sub that'd be great. I would really like to figure this out cause it seems that a lot of ppl are having this issue.

is what I see in my settings. Is there anything else that could indicate what the issue is or is it just giving you the message and nothing else? There's no button to sign up anyway or something? --Just wanna make sure I understand the situation to better help solve it
