The game uses about 1 GByte when running and usually does not take much CPU power. Even on the most slow PC it should just work fine.
If the game crashes with a "grey screen" crash report txt, then that's the error report. Its saved usually as "error.log" in the game directory
If it just dies (I have never seen that) it is very likely a hardware incompatibility issue (corrupt memory, ...?) or graphics driver issue, or antivirus sw issue, ...

- windows version
- hw specs of your machine?
There never have been reports of "silent" crashes in 2 years and 100k downloads, so I have frankly no idea at this point.
