Overall very cute! I really like all the spritework, especially all the characters and all the growth stages of the crops! The music was also quite nice, though it crackles when looping.

When the redhead grabbed my box of veggies and bought it to the storefront, I was hoping it was going to put them out on the display haha.

It could also be very cute for the harvest to send the food flying to the crates instead of just appearing there! The tool animations could *really* benefit from even some simple sfx and maybe a little less delay so you can move sooner.

That said, the houses shaking all over the place as I walked was quite nauseating. The cursor and shovel also felt to be inaccurate at times? The cursor would end up on a cell as I dig/start to dig (maybe due to a smoothed position?) and I would end up digging nothing. I didn't understand at first that I have to dig a hole twice, maybe that's what was happening?

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to play and share your thoughts!

These are all known issues I’m planning to address after the jam. I was looking into improving the tool animations, especially reducing the delay on the shovel (I forgot to change this before submitting and it was on my todo list lol), since digging currently feels a bit slow. And yes, you do need to dig twice on the same spot, which may have caused some confusion.

The mouse controls are a bit of an extra. I originally designed the gameplay around keyboard input only (which would automatically select the soil in progress or the nearest spot to the player), and added mouse interaction later as an option. I can see how that might be causing some of the inaccuracy you mentioned, so I’ll definitely revisit that.

The sprite shaking and overall visual stutter are also high on my priority list, since they take away from the cozy feel I’m going for.

Thanks again for the kind words and the fun suggestions. I love the idea of making interactions more lively and expressive!
