Same thing happened to me, I had to edit my save file and set the game to Day 3 to get around it.
They also REALLY need to make it so starting a New Game selecting New Release unlocks ALL the content and scenes up that point, not just main storyline ones. This is probably THE BUGGIEST game I've ever played.
