Do you expect to have a demo in May or the full game?  Do you plan on a cartridge release or just the ROM?

I usually use an Everdrive instead of dragging out my cartridges but, I may want a cartridge as well. I've only bought a few aftermarket games in cartridge format and this one looks like it will be worth buying both.

I REALLY want to play this on real hardware or as close as an Analogue Nt Mini Noir can get to the real thing. I do have a couple other clone consoles using real NES CPU and PPU chips and a MiSTer FPGA setup. I expect at least a couple of those options will run smoothly. I've only seen a couple aftermarket NES ROMs give trouble with the Analogue console and that was fixed in the settings.

so I expect to have the digital released then. Cartridge will take some time since I manufacture them myself and I’m sourcing supplies. There should not be compatibility issues with this game since it’s using mapper2. My recommendation for a console is one that  has the 4score built in like the AVS and analogue. And also that it has the famicom expansion port. Which is where player 5 and 6 connect.

Perfect!!  I'd want the digital edition first anyway.

I will probably be using an Analogue Nt Mini Noir with four controller ports.

I use 8Bitdo 2.4g controllers and using all four hasn't been an issue. I have no less than two connected at all times.

The game I had issues with was Sam's Journey and switching from zero delay to fully buffered in the settings fixed it completely. I had it on zero delay as I'd read it helps reduce lag but, I can't say I noticed any difference at all.  I don't think it was an issue relating to the mapper and the issue only happened on the Analogue console.
