i love this game lol can't tell if the ladder bug is a bad featre or ragebait but setting checkpoint back to the beginning was diabolical lol peak game

Oh no it wasn't supposed to do that! :O
I know that bug though but not as the ladder bug, it happened once before when I was near the crane and I fell off and respawning put me on the ground in an odd place. I could never make it happen again. so I just added code to try and stop it and the "tap Q to damage yourself" button just incase. I have no idea what causes it, its not even jam code esk reasons. Its a clear code path to respawn and I can not see why it would happen and the checks I put in place are even "wait a fixed frame" to ensure that the player is reset and stuff.
so Im guessing it set you back to 0,0,0 as that would be on top of the starting lift. I guess that better than random point in the world some place... maybe. Probably would have been more fun for you to run around on the ground wondering what was going on.

I did think about making it into a rage game and at the last switch even thought about turning it into a golf game, where you control the angle and power of the boost pads and try to "golf yourself" around a level but thought best finish one game before dreaming about the next, then starting thinking about the golf yourself idea being in VR... anything but focusing on the task at hand haha
