This is SO fun to play. I'm really bad at these sorts of games, but I find myself enjoying this a lot! I love the implementation of the theme.
I think the birds chirping at the beginning don't really fit the environment/style of the game. Having an ambience that exudes a futuristic vibe would be a great change.
Gameplay wise though, the art/animations, combat, theme, and sfx are really nice.
