Heya, my name is Mya. I'm a 20-year-old composer, SFX artist, and audio engineer based in Dallas Texas.
I currently play 13 instruments, my main strong point being jazz improvisation (especially on piano).
I've made 200+ songs across 15+ genres.
I mainly make vocal + bossa nova, electronic, and lo-fi music, but I'm versatile across any genre out there. (You can check out my itch.io page and see what stuff I've been working on throughout these last few jams)
So far, I’ve finished 7 game jams, won 3 (4 if you count just audio), and every other i've placed really high in audio.
I don't work in any specific game engine, since I mostly work with sound. I've yet to learn audio implementation, but maybe this jam is the time I take a crack at that!
For this jam, I know there are pre-existing audio assets, but for those interested, I'd love to make some killer sound for your game.
If you'd like to work with me, shoot me a dm on discord!
Thank you for your kind words and detailed feedback! Since we only had a week, we were mostly just focused on core mechanics and some of the gameplay. We're planning on having multiplayer modes, different maps and game modes, reworking enemy AI, and polishing the gameplay loop to make it more fast-paced and action-packed (in the case that development continues and we perform well for the jam).
Also, I'm with you; parkour would be CRAZY fun. I brought that up to my team about that one too.
Lastly, thank you so much (in regards to the audio)!! I had a BLAST making the OST and sounds. I was told to go for something Ultrakill-like and wanted to combine that with light jazz fusion inspo/synths. I'm definitely going to make more music and focus on pure synthwave for.
Hoping to polish this more in the future and create some fun action for players. Happy jamming!
