It's still there, before 0.5 you needed to buy upgrades from the main shop, in 0.5 dev introduced peeptube shop, and moved those upgrades there, so you need to unlock them again
I'm not sure, I think for now you only need to grind PP (the new currency) to buy upgrades, but upcoming condoms will be available only if you're at least silver tier, so other things might change as well
