I've decided to try using a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game. I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this year!

What I liked

The gameplay concept is good. Moving a box around is okay, but I really, really liked flying around with the grapple. That was a ton of fun.

The minimalist, ugly temporary graphics grew on me and are definitely so bad they're good.

What I didn't like

It needs a tutorial, documentation, or even some kind of in-game hints, because I had no idea that I could pick up the box and kept trying to push it around until I was halfway through the level. It wasn't obvious that the orange parts killed, either.

Some parts are extremely difficult, though I was able to get past them. I think "developer difficulty" hits the nail on the head.

Did I think it was so bad it was good?

Overall, not so much. It's another game that feels more like a good game that's a work in progress than a bad-yet-good game.

My thoughts on the modifier implementation

It's difficult, but not impossibly so. Given the lack of any note I'm assuming that no implementation of the modifier was attempted.

Other remarks

The download is listed as suitable for all platforms but as far as I can tell is a 64-bit Windows build.

I only did the first cube and first grapple level because of limited time. I may come back and try the others later if I have the opportunity to do so.

Verdict

A neat first person puzzler. Yep, it does remind me of Portal.

If you have any questions, comments, queries or concerns, please reply and I'll do my best to get back to you.

thanks for the feedback
