Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! While there is unlikely to be a direct sequel, I am currently working on a spiritual successor, and I would like to do a remake of Ouroboros that would expand the story a bit. Follow me via whatever channel works for you and hopefully you'll hear about those in time!
What would the spiritual successor be? I personally really liked the story of Ouroboros and would have loved to learn more about the setting, because it was really good how you integrated the whole timeline reset mechanic into the story.
I personally wished there were other people I could have saved, beyond immediate love interests. I got really drawn into it.
Also if a direct sequel gets made, I think that Atreyan taking over the body of the custodian or going through the custodian's memories would have been interesting. He learns about the state of the outside world, and plots on how to turn the tables on his captors.
The spiritual successor is a game called Omnipocalypse, though it is currently just a WIP only available to patrons (there will be a public build once things are actually polished). It's my second shot at many different time loop mechanics; while it doesn't have the sequence-breaking focus of Ouroboros, it has a broader and more complex scenario. If you wanted to save more people in Ouroboros, you'd like that aspect!
