I felt the beginning was a little slow, with character introductions but that's more me with long normalcy before horror parts.
I REALLY liked the intro cutscene setting up the worldbuilding of the game! Combining furries and horror is always just so good in my eyes and always has a special place in my heart, especially here!
The cave lore notes were really well done too, and made me feel very existential, and also was a good introduction to the main evil guy.
The chase with Basil in third person was really fun to be honest! The 3rd person camera for the horror sections was really well done.
The scares were alright. Nothing too much, the sudden jumpscares spliced around were a bit cheap in my opinion. The lore was scarier though. But not really the flesh eye guy, not really all that scary to me.
My only real complaint i have for the game is Dan not saying anything after reading the lore notes, ESPECIALLY the one on the light post next to the white van. It told us about the "everyone is gonna die no matter what at a certain point" and he said nothing. Not even a little "probably just a hoax" or "thats concerning" at the very least?
The game has a lot of potential. I am very interested in the lore mostly, but if you put the 3rd person into more chase scenes it will be even better!
