Could you add a few extra lines if you decide to board the ship to search for the agents in the Prologue? The other two have outcomes that are noticeable immediately. Firing gives you a promotion, disobeying gets you jailed, and doing an in-between gets you ignored.

For the prologue, yes, that is a great suggestion, and I will implement it! There is actually a new update dropping next week, so follow me here on itch so you do not miss it!
And yes, restoring the monarchy is absolutely a viable path!
A quick answer without spoilers: during the first two years of your presidency, if you play your cards right, you will have the option to perform a coup or a revolution. Sticking with democracy is of course always on the table too.
Now, restoring the monarchy itself will not be available that early in the story, but it is absolutely an option at a later stage, which I will keep under wraps for now.
What I can tell you is this: The entire royal lineage was apparently purged after the Fourth Grand War. So if you want a monarchy, you will need to either find someone with royal blood still alive, or simply declare yourself king.
Both paths will be possible. :)
Yes, I remembered them killing all the royal family, even the kids (Would be nice if we could use that fact during some of our speeches against them), but there ought to be some smaller princes who survived.
