I'm not sure reading the source code will help, as some secrets are found through interacting with objects and one of them is found by locating all of the pixel-size corner secrets. There should be 3 secrets per room.
It was a glitch lmao I restarted the game and it went perfectly this go around, thank you so much! The three secrets per room hint was great.
