I really fell in love with your writing style. You set the scene so well of the classic train adventure with a welcomed sci-fi twist. I'm an avid fan western/sci fi combination, so reading this hit the right spot for me.
From the journey of setting up the premise then the journey of the train itself held my attention. I felt as if I was physically turning page after page in anticipation to see where you took your adventurers.
I especially loved the conversations between Waylorn and Nipparad. All of it felt so natural, full of life and of the time for the story's setting. I had no issues imagining Waylorn and Nipparad in front of me speaking as I read through.
Regarding the main conflict- I have to say it took me by surprise. This part was very action packed, keeping me at the edge of my seat. The world building fleshed itself out nicely despite being a short tale.
The end was the cherry on top to this cool adventure. I greatly enjoyed your work!
