In the beginning the story seems very rushed and the main character trusts too quickly considering what they went through, they also mourn somebody that they have absolutely no knowledge about and again also another alien.
the main character should be more wary and less sympathetic towards the beginning unless otherwise given a reason for this not to be the case.

To adress your criticism, in my opinion it is normal to mourn the death of someone you have just met. It wouldn't be natural if the mc was shown to be completely unfeeling and apathetic but he hasn't.
However, I will still say thank you for the feedback rest of the feedback as I am not a professional writer and am actively working on improving my writing.
