Will there ever be options that can change the graphics levels? I really like this game, but on my laptop, I cannot run it well at all! I admit, the laptop is 100% the problem, as it's 8 years old and has only 4gb of RAM, but it would be really nice to be able to run it even at just 30fps by turning down some of the graphics options. Still, really good game, and I can't wait to try out the new update and vehicles on a computer that can actually play the game!
Yes, to some extent. I'm always making small optimizations but a big portion of performance usage is due to two things:
- particles/effects (options can be added!)
- the fog of war visibility system (which could use some optimizations, but a "lower fidelity" option would have to make some major sacrifices).
It does seem like the game especially suffers on laptops, which is something I plan to look into for future updates too.
