Lol I made the mistake of investing in fish bait right away the first go around and lost all my money!
Second time around I had a lot better luck with the ball bait, that was pretty chill.
Then I bought the worm bait and it didn't seem to attract any fish and the hook kept sinking to the bottom of the pond, it got a stuck. I tried playing a few more times after that I kept running into this issue of getting stuck between objects.
Critique on the game scene: There's a lot of clutter with the decorations. It makes it hard to tell exactly what's going on in most of the pond, since you made the water clear I figured you wanted to expressly let the player watch the fish get caught. Which I personally enjoyed, even if it was a little glitchy.
I couldn't tell what the weights did exactly. I tried switching between them but the bobber seems to either stay on the surface of the water or drop to the very bottom.
I also couldn't really tell how strong the fish were, I know you mentioned to watch the rod but my immediate reaction(which seems to have worked mostly) was to just pull back as far as possible and just hold right click.
The feel: I really like how you did the casting mechanic. I was enjoying just seeing how far I could cast a line, it was satisfying, the sound FX was good juice too! Good work!
